There’s a saying in Permaculture: “The edge
is where the action is.”

Permaculture is a holistic approach to landscape management that mimics the patterns and genius of nature. In Permaculture, the “edge” is the place where two different ecosystems meet, like where a forest merges into a meadow or the ocean and shoreline. We find the most diversity and activity in these edge areas—think about a tide pool or marsh. I love marshes. They may not look like much, but the perceived lack of aesthetics belie an astonishing array of life. 


By embracing and extending the edge, we can increase yields and synergies. The same is true with coaching.

Coaching is an action-oriented process for growth that we co-create together.

Through discovering more about who you are, you are able to make clearer choices, more aligned with your goals and values. As a Gestalt coach, I encourage you to notice your physical and somatic sensations. And while we do lots of talking—confidential talking in a safe container—I also invite you to do things, like experiment with a new behavior or practice a conversation.

As a trained coach, I am deeply empathetic, a good listener, and trustworthy. I genuinely care about you and your experiences and am committed to building a safe, ethical container for our work together. I’ve been doing this work since 2012 because I am invested in emotional, spiritual, psychological growth and development. I do my own work, too, always learning and growing, walking that same path.

How does it work?

  • What we do centers around YOU. In our initial consult and intake process, you outline your intentions. Together, we develop a plan and do the work to bring those intentions into being. Along the way, I share my observations and offer suggestions, but we venture only where you want to go.

  • Since growth happens outside of your comfort zone, our authentic connection provides the safe foundation for you to try something new. Together we build the trust necessary for you to feel safe enough, courageous enough, and curious enough to explore what’s calling to you.

  • My approach to coaching isn’t limited to talking about what’s going on. It’s not simply an abstract, mental exercise. True growth and healing calls for an integrated approach where we attend to our somatic experience as well as our mental one. Additionally, we explore emotions and spiritual identity to help you embrace the fullness of your being. I’m also a true believer in the healing powers of nature and will encourage you to go outside and be still.

What is it best for?

  • Coaching is a process of self-discovery that can benefit anyone who’s motivated to create meaningful change. If you feel ready or even curious to understand your current way of operating in order to create a new way of being in the world, then coaching is for you.

  • Deepening attunement with your body and mind can help release stuck energy and emotions—like dismantling a dam. The resulting flow helps to move you in the direction you want to go. (Re)connecting with nature can help us notice the rhythms and pattern of the seasons and how our own energy and needs shift throughout the year.

  • Resistance to change isn’t a barrier or obstacle that needs to be overcome or run roughshod over. Rather, resistance is a mobilization of energy that is often used to protect us. Becoming curious about or conscious of our resistance can enable us to free up that energy for different, more aligned choices and behaviors. 

What to expect

Sessions can be in-person or virtual. In addition to feeling both supported and challenged, you will also be invited to explore your physical sensations and feelings, reflect on and respond to generative questions, engage in breathwork and gentle movement, and other experiential exercises. This is all with the goal of helping you build more awareness so that you can make choices in line with your intentions.

A 15-minute consult to see if we’re a good fit is always free.

  • $125 for 1-hour session (due at time of session)

  • 4 sessions for $460 (½ due upfront; ½ due after 2 sessions)

  • 6 session package for $600 (½ due upfront; ½ due after 3 sessions)

  • $60/month for weekly, one-hour groups (4 total sessions). Group size ranges from 8 to 15.
